Schecter Blackjack ATX C-7 vs Hellraiser C-7?
Hello again UG....
here's the links for these 2 guitars http://www.schecterguitars.com/Inte...ck-ATX-C-7.aspx http://www.schecterguitars.com/Inte...raiser-C-7.aspx i've been playing 6 string guitar for 4 years now and i think i wanna buy a 7 stringer to play some Nevermore and Fearedse songs ![]() Ibanez doesn't offer any decent 7 sting guitars with fixed bridges within my budget. Agile 7 sting guitars..... there's just something i don't like about them. So i decided on schecter, and i originally wanted to buy the jeff loomis signature model (without floyd), but it was beyond my budget so i narrowed it down to these 2 guitars. as you can see the main difference is that the blackjack atx has seymourduncan blackout pups and ebony fretboard..... the hellraiser has emg707 pups and rosewood fretboard. I'm looking for a Fearedse / Nevermore type of tone. which guitar suits me better? |

Just got the Blackjack ATX 6-string and it's a beaut.
However Jeff Loomis uses EMG's so for similar tone, you might want to go for the Hellraiser. Personally I prefer Seymour Duncan Blackouts, it brings out the bite of the mahogany wood, but that's just me ![]() |

The Blackouts will do almost anything you want them to do. they sound a bit more "alive" than most other actives.

What about a Jeff Loomis Signature? I always thought people raved about them on here.

^ He said it was beyond his budget.
Of those two, I'd personally go with the Blackjack. I love those. And I'm not too big a fan of Emgs, i've discovered. (I have 707s 18v modded in my Agile) I need to try a guitar with Blackouts. |

Or if he has a steady income he could try an finance it through there play an pay program. That's what I did with my Schecter. An it's very easy to if you get approved, they will charge you the first payment the day it ship's then for the next three months you make a payment on the date of that month. So 4 month's one payment a month on the same date. So let's say it shipped out the first that's one payment then on the first of next three month's you make your payment. |

I really, really, really don't want to be that guy. But get a damn new amp first. And a lot of people on here will tell you that EMGs sound sterile and boring through cheap SS amps.
