I get my bottles at my bevmo but it's one of the harder rums to find.

It's not like I can't find Cruzan, I can get the Aged Dark, Aged Light, and the 151 at Safeway, IGA, or Walmart. I just can't for the life of me find Black Strap anywhere.

Although since my friends aren't big rum drinkers, after the last cabin trip I got all the left over Capt. Morgan Black and a little Bacardi so all is not lost.

Definetly the way to cope with music you're not related to.

Guys, what's the difference between common and black rum?? I haven't been able to find any black rum (at supermarkets, i didn't really look for it...) and i wanna know if it is worth some research...

Light rums are lighter in flavor and have some sweetness.

Dark Rums are aged in used whiskey barrels for many years. They impart the spice and the molasses like flavor to the rum.

Dark Rums are aged in old, charred whiskey barrels to infuse the Rum with some of the whiskey flavor. Dark Rums also come mainly from Jamaica and Haiti, whereas other Rums come from all over the Caribbean region, and also from South America. Old Monk Rum is the exception. It is a first-rate dark Rum made in India.

I am only a fan of rum in Mai Tai's and mojitos.

Eddie is ALWAYS relevant. Bass is sexy, Eddie is sexy. Therefore Eddie is bass. Kinda.

Anyhoos, I'd like to think he's jamming along a little bit there, playing around with what would become Indifference.

By the transitive property, bass is always relevant. Now that is a foolproof airtight argument to quell the guitards and forever silence their whining.

NAMM in 3 days!

That is an awesome bass groove, btw. We're playing it in the band I'm in.

Today I'm really regretting not buying that Epi EA 260 a year or two ago. Cursed hollowbody GAS.

Has anyone heard if any new and interesting bass stuff is scheduled to debut at NAMM? I have't seen a new bass amp that interested me in quite a while. Here's hoping something good turns up this year.

EBMM will hopefully be rolling out the Sabre Classic at NAMM. Spector is set to release the Coda Pro (maple body, quilt maple top, but made at their Korean factory). Warwick has a slew of new stuff (see Ben's thread). Fender will probably have their new Pawn Shops and some Select series stuff. Status will probably have the Chris Wolstenhome sig on display, and Aria has the Cliff Burton sig.

EDIT: Markbass also has their new Multiamp, and Aguilar is debuting pickups in soapbar shells (finally!).

DoubleEDIT: Lakland also has a Skyline short scale hollowbody (30") that might be rolling out.

AndatripleEDIT: Dingwall (at the Hipshot booth) is showing a slightly refined Super P 4 and the AB XXX, an Afterburner with 3 pickups that features their new wenge/wenge neck/fretboard option.

All I know so far is the specs that were listed there and that it's supposedly made in Korea so it should be reasonably affordable, none of that super-expensive-ultra-limited-edition crap.

That, the Pawn Shop Mustang, and the MM Sabre are driving me nuts. I need a lottery win NOW.
