this bass vi looks pretty sick. i'll wait for one to pop up used but dayum

do y'all think a bassman 70 would be loud enough over a drummer and guitarist? just a thought as I'd like to have one for a clean channel on guitar as well, and I could kill two birds with one stone.

Ibanez has a few new models coming out this year including a new line of BTB Premiums

BTB 1405E
BTB 1406E

Ibanez also introduced a couple of new colors for their SR series.

Mind if I steal those links? I'm going to put together a thread for all the new NAMM stuff that's been announced so far.

Go ahead and use them.

Anyways Ibanez didn't release the price for them anyways.

I could buy a whole other bass with the shipping costs.

Haven't seen that Rockbass yet, at least not through a major retailer like GC/MF/etc. Thinking about a VM Mustang right now, since with Amazon gift cards I could nab a new one for like $160.

Unexpected letter from Uni... getting an 800 bursary that I thought I wasn't going to be eligible for. My new bass gear prospects for my 21st in a few months just got a lot better. Kind of the right time for it with all this NAMM stuff too.

So the bad news is the lady of the house won't allow another bass to pass through the door, at least not until after we move. I suppose I'll just look into a hard case or some new pickups.

If it helps, Lee Sklar has this:

Not everyone with a Starbass is Andy 'Has Ben's Job' Irvine, thank God.

Love the sound of that Guild Starfire, has the organic woodiness of a precision bass but the rasp and articulation of a jazz... sort of the best of both worlds. My only problem with hollowbody instruments is my short stature and the fact that they usually have huge wide bodies. I can pull off a Fender just about, I never managed to really get away with it in my Gibson Grabber days.
