Your kit is spread apart alot.
Not really to my liking. I like mine compact.
I would also have a cymbal in the center of the kit above the kick drum.

LOL yeah, it was when I didn't really know much about cymbals, but it could've been worse. They're not bad actually, all the sound engineers and drummers I've played and worked with love my hi hats

I'm no drummer... So I haven't even looked at cymbals over that price range...

Have you ever heard of using saw blades for a cymbal?
I got one on my kit right now, it sounds like the bell of a cymbal. It takes too long to decay so I'm going to put duct tape on the bottom.
They eat your sticks, so I put mine so low you can't possibly hit the blade part with your stick.

Sonor Force 3003 in a White Sparkle, is just beautiful



Just brought an 8" tom to go on the crash stand, and a floor tom with a clamp that I haven't set up yet because I need a better ride stand, haha.

Shitty bargin-pack Paiste cymbals because I'm a poor music student and I use silencer pads, but have a very nice Tama Iron Cobra Rolling Glide behind the bass drum ;D

Liking the look of the kit, I like Iron Cobras but I can't use them effectively, it feels like the foot board is too short and my sweet spot is a little higher up than other pedals

Here's my ugly kit. Other than the toms, it sounds better than it looks, especially with those (borrowed) Neumanns as overheads





It's a Tama Superstar kick, 1976 Ludwig Acrolite snare, 1974 Ludwig concert toms (3 rack toms and 1 floor tom not shown), Aquarian crash and hihats, Paiste ride, and pdp hardware.l

Oh yeah, I've also got a 1974 Ludwig kick lying around, but I mostly use a sample of it and mix it in with the Tama for more thump.

On my blue kit I've got a Pearl P-902 single, it's immensely cheap but I really love the feel of it.
On my black Stagg kit, I use DW5000 double pedals, and take those over to my larger pearl kit.

As for the cymbals, they're pretty decent. The hi hats really stand out I think, 15" mastersound. The china is really in your face. The crash is a bit too bright for my liking but sounds good when used with another cymbal. The ride has a nice but slightly subtle "ping" has a little more overtone than I like. But I have a 20" K custom dry ride for my main stuff.

And Alex, I'm digging your kit, real hardcore
