The Gear For Metal: Version III

The last one got a bit big and with WTF!!is a TABs permission here is the new one.

Version III
The difficult third album

Which I and many other well informed and bored people will do our best to keep updated and to help inform you UGers of whatever gear is great for metal. This forum is a great place to help other people and this thread will be another great example of how UG isn't full of idiots...

You can ask anything you want so long as it is related to the playing of Metal. If you gig or its just for bedroom use, it doesn't matter, this thread is here to help!!

Just make sure you format your requests by following 311's guide to buying found here

Home or Gig? - Also important. Maybe you do both. Jamming with a drummer can be considered 'gigging' but you won't have a PA etc.

Closest City? - We aren't here to stalk you but we need to know where you are in the world roughly and we can help further if we know what city you are in (ie craigslist, local shops, Guitar Center used section, etc)

Current Gear? - Also good for us to know.

Please note: no metal elitism is allowed here, any and all sub genres are to be included and any flaming or excessive spamming will be dealt with.

The following is from WTF's fantastically informative posts at the start of the previous thread...

If you can't afford an SLO, Jet city is a great alternative. I say this like, every other minute, but JC is one of the greatest upstarts around.

EDIT:

These are all the Jet City 100 doing good metal.

I'm not any of these guys, actually the last 2 vids are Ian_the_Fox on UG...

since I have no Idea where the doom room thread drifted off to, can anyone recommend me some good wah pedals for stoner/doom? It needs to be able to handle some really bassy, muddy tones as well as a lot of gain.

I love my ibanez Weeping Demon.

It handled my old 7 very well and easily, it's got a bunch of features of a wah in my opinion, some pretty cool options for very different sounding tones.

Great pedal, it's what I suggest every time for gainier stuff.

I don't know if you want to Tom, but you could add in the Blackstar HT-20/40/60/100. (Sorry, I can't link. I'm on an iPod)

Some of the pricing on those probably need to be updated. Ask Derek. ^
