I'd say it's one of the best, by a long shot. It's also one of the few doing something other than ales.

The original has a pretty unique taste, I could understand why it might not appeal if you're wanting something that tastes like a 'beer'. The blonde is a bit more traditional.

I think I've only seen the second and third one, and the newest one. The Sixth Sense is amazing, and still the only movie that I can recall that had plot twists that truly shocked me. Knowing takes some of the fun out of it, but it should still be an enjoyable movie.

Movies off the top of my head that have similarly shocking plot twists are "What Lies Beneath," and "Stay"

Shaping up to be pretty good from what I hear. Released in two days I think.

I've listened to some of their most current stuff on Youtube and it's very cool, sounds occult and spooky in an unforced way. There is going to be a live stream of them, Demilich, Winterwolf and other bands feat. members of those bands on Friday - http://www.anentity.com/fatoru/

What a weird set of bands. Definitely keeping tabs on that though, thanks.

You can ask anyone you'd like about, I mean anyone, about the self titled from JATAO, and they will give you a reassuring nod just to remind to listen to it in full. Excellent rock.

I can't stop listening to Heavy/Power/Doom lately. And not Doooooom, more Gates of Slumber/Lamp of Thoth doom.

I also can't think of a reason to stop. Gates of Slumber - Ice Worm has one of the single greatest riffs. Sweet ass titty fuck that riff just hits the spot.

Have you heard Magic Circle's debut yet? It's kickass NWOBHM-influenced doom with a kickass vocalist. If you're familiar at all with hardcore some of the members are also in The Rival Mob and Mind Eraser.

Massachusetts in general has been producing some awesome doom metal the past couple of years. Elder, Black Pyramid, Ice Dragon, Olde Growth, Summoner, Ichabod, Second Grave, Black Thai etc.

I have that Gates of Slumber album on my computer. Now the question is, why I have I never listened to them. Thanks for interrupting my Joy Division mood VG; now I have to go figure out what you are on about.

There is a seller on eBay, selling the album for 50 dollars, or you can head over to a torrent site that I don't think I can name on this forum, but it's the most obvious one you can think of.

If you're still upset, I'm sure one of us can upload it for you.

I read recently that Arkham Witch are releasing an EP with a ten-minute track about (Marvel's) Thor, with a new album to come later in the year. Should be tasty.

EDIT: Out of interest, do any of you guys have bandcamp accounts? I signed up for one recently and it seems like a great idea, especially getting e-mailed whenever someone you're following buys something.

If it's the site I'm thinking of then I already tried that. It wouldn't work.

Eh, that's okay. I don't want anyone to go through that much trouble about it.

I think you seriously overestimate the amount of trouble I went through, but just say so if you want someone to upload it.

Calum, that's good news on the Arkham. I do not have a bandcamp account, but I know Jacob does, whose projects (Asgardsrei and Sepulcro) I would recommend to all. Rome also has one, some odd trippy hippy stuff that most would enjoy as well (Sumdeus).

I'm sure most of the folks in here have one though.
