Beer thread.

I can't really think of a favourite beer... but I've been drinking a lot of Erdinger Weiss recently.

Every few months I stumble upon a new beer which I think is the best thing ever, but I don't think I've stuck with one particular brand for a very long time, so I have no idea what I think the best beer in the world is.

In response to the OP, I've never actually had a decent American beer. I will assume your local shit is awesome, but your exports are fucking terrible.

Ahhhh I love Magners.

But yes, our exports are trash, because they consist of macro crap like bud and coors. I firmly believe our micros are the best in the world, however, but as with anything, that's opinion based.

Furthermore, budweiser ran at 6 euros a bottle when I was in Italy. Please tell me no one pays that much for that stuff lol??

I can't think of anything better than food cooked in beer, I really can't.

Just for clarification, Miller light, Bud light, Naty light, Milwaukee light, or any light mass produced beer, is just stud horse piss with the foam farted off.

Real beer is not shy of calories. Light beers are for sissys. Dark beer is the best. But I prefer hard liquor. I don't ever drink too much, but God forbid I ever do, cause I would become an alcoholic very quickly.

There's nothing wrong with a lighter beer the most refreshingly amazing alcoholic drink on a nice summer day is a GOOD light beer with lemonade (shandy).

I kinda like Sam Adams light, but based on it's flavor and calorie count, I hardly consider that a light beer




Leinenkugel summer shandy on tap is my choice on a 90+ day. But I still wouldn't consider that a light beer. Lighter, yes, but when I think light beer, I think that watery shit you drink when you're on a diet.

Mass produced light beer is basically mass produced regular beer, minus most of the little flavor it had to begin with. There are good lighter beers, like a nice Pilsner.

If it's an ale then yeah, but a beer purposely brewed for lack of calories is just...wrong. It's not right, idk why, it's just not. I've never had a good light beer, to me they all taste flat and bland, just a blah beer taste.

And a light beer, not a diet beer, would be like a pilsner, as opposed to a stout/porter.

Yeah, I consider a beer that ends it "light" to be a diet beer. But calling it that isn't the best idea

But Miller Light is probably the best of the worst, IMO. And I actually enjoy High Life as well. Leinenkugel is actually made by Miller and it's legit. Raspberry Wheat Leinenkugel (and shandy) ftw!
