Skepticism - Stormcrowfleet is still the absolute best Metal album to sleep to after all these years.

This is a classic and maybe the greatest sleeptime (?!?) metal album of all time along with Burzum. But I still think that Stormcrowfleer takes the top place in this race. Paralyzing, mesmerizing and so slow you'll think you're standing still but you'll find a big monster of the ancient times moving in your subconscious.

Also Darkthrone's pretty good for sleeping metal, there are others I also fancy but none spring to my mind now.

I know I've bleated emphatically about this album recently, but I can't help but feel that this is the best night-time album:

If you're looking for something with Metal credibility that is actually relaxing but isn't metal then maybe you should look into:

(Bohren started life as a Doom band)

OR

(His music is more terrifying than Black Metal wishes it could be)

Easily my favourite.

Last three Summoning albums, Hardangervidda - which some of you guys have mentioned already,.. Esoteric's "The Pernicious Enigma" and Urfaust's "Troubaduri..." live LP seem to work the best. The sonic worlds they create are great to let the mind wander.

I'm quite partial to Agalloch's Ashes Against the Grain.
