I have a janseen upright piano which I have recently come to love. I've just realized how awesome of a sound it has... it doesn't have that bright tinny sound like most uprights, but instead more of a full deep grand piano sound without taking up all the space. If anyone ever finds one I highly recommend it.

My friend has some weird yamaha one from the 80's Keys are really small and it feels too much like a toy though

Also, I've been looking at buying a new keyboard. Anyone have any experience with Thomann's own brand of electric pianos? They seem decent for their price.

^ So you typed in "keyboard" into Google Images and then chose the second option.

Well in all honesty, the first keyboard in the results looks like absolute shit.

OT: I'm curious as to how do you guys go about putting keyboard in a band setting/mix because i'm often lost as to where to put them in a composition Most of the time it just seems too "out of place" for me at least.

Fender Rhodes suitcase piano. My band director/teacher has one in the band room, but it's broken

"Love Was Never Enough" on my bands page, although looking back the mix isn't great, has a keyboard line about half way through thats sits pretty well.

EDIT: Link for song is here it starts at 2:27
Although there is synths throughout the whole thing.

do you mean the sound of the keyboard doesn't fit or do you mean keyboard parts?

Thanks for the reply, digging the tune too

The mix sounds amazing to what happens when I try mix. I guess i'm just not used to working with keyboards.

Thanks, the key, in my opinion is getting rid of all the frequencies you don't need in all the instruments and it makes it a lot easier to place synths in the mix.
