You mean Number of the Beast? I'm surprised it's been mentioned even more than once in here, as though I would agree it's got some good classic Maiden tracks, it's certainly not a contender for perfect Maiden in my books. Somewhere in Time and Seventh Son are the closest to perfect they've ever been for me. edit: sorry, I see you've already noticed the mistake Some of my favourite "perfect" albums... (IMO) Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd Kind of Blue - Miles Davis Sgt. Peppers - The Beatles Quadrophenia - The Who Sabotage - Black Sabbath The Chemical Wedding - Bruce Dickinson

Gross. There isn't a single Pantera album that I can listen to all the way through. They have some great songs, but they have a lot of terrible ones too. Perfect album? Doesn't exist. If I had to pick though... John 5 - Songs for Sanity Avenged Sevenfold - City of Evil Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP Children of Bodom - Are You Dead Yet? It'd probably be one of those. All of this stuff just comes down to opinion, really. ![]() Quote:
I don't understand the hype with these guys. Downloaded their stuff last night along with Black Veil Brides. Listened to a good portion of each album and wasn't impressed. What they're doing doesn't seem all that different from all of the other hardcore/metalcore/whateveryouwanttocallit-core bands out there, but then again, that's not exactly my favorite genre of music. Black Veil Brides were a breath of fresh air. I did enjoy their stuff.

No I don't think so. Even my favourite albums like Blood Sugar Sex Magik, Led Zeppelin IV, and Houses of the Holy, are far from perfect.

Texas Flood by SRV and Handful of Blues by Robben Ford I think are two examples of perfectly written and recorded blues albums.

Actually, if the Use Your Illusion's albums can count as one, then yes, that is a perfect album.

Music from "The Elder" by Kiss.
Just kidding, Strange Universe by Mahogany Rush, in my eyes is a perfect album, as is Purple Rain by Prince and the Revolution EDIT: Also, Edges of Twilight by the Tea Party Last edited by Charvel1995 : 08-14-2011 at 10:59 PM. |

The Empyrean - John Frusciante
I'm not a spiritual man by any means, but every track on that album generates the sort of feeling that only a higher power could create. Also, Traced In Air by Cynic Both albums are journeys which can't be fully appreciated by hearing an individual track. In my opinion, that's what makes perfection in terms of an album.

no, people throw "perfect" around way too often.
oftentimes it's just "my fav albums" which is ok just don't put a "perfect" label on it. Last edited by Doppelgänger : 08-14-2011 at 11:00 PM. |
