How the meaning of the song "Cry Of The Nihilist", from Children Of Bodom?

What's the message that they want to transmit? thanks.

I'm not sure. However, this is a song they've never performed live to my knowledge.

It's about people who say they're nihilists/satanists/whatever to be "edgy" and rebellious, not because they actually are. Alexi is also a fan of The Big Lebowski, which might have something to do with it.

Looking for meaning in popular metal bands is normal a bad idea.

Bands with actual views tend to not be as easy to digest.

CoB is usually pretty straightforward. Whenever they're not all "omg kill me" or "omg imma kill you", it's not that hard to figure out what they're on about.

I don't know why, but this was very amusing.

I think this comment is more important than most recognize.

To make it as a big pop band, you have to keep pumping out songs that sound ironic, bittersweet, etc. whatever makes it easy for the listener to project into them.

Thus it's not so much meaning as the appearance of.

Also, Children of Bodom is the best way to get AIDS that does not directly involve your anus.

Sell-outs? They were always hamster candy pop metal... how do you sell that out?

That's like calling Shakira a sell-out.
