Jazzy lace

So im thinkin about slappin some lace sensors into my strat to quiet it down a bit and give it a bit more of a jazzy tone. Hopefully, ill get some better harmonics out of it too. i was thinking emerald-neck, blue-middle, and either burgundy or purple for the bridge (which doesnt matter too much to me, i dont use the bridge pickup often). Any other suggestions? i've got the MIM standard stock pickups in now and i wanna get a fatter and more harmonically rich sound.

Back when I used to play in a jazz quartet for a while, I remember our guitarist used one strat with a Holy Grail, and another with a Lace Sensor. Also used to jam with a friend who used a SD SSL-4 (I think?) in his neck for some jazz, and it sounded pretty solid to me. Seymour Duncan has the high output, and if you roll back the guitar volume and the treble a bit, you'll get a really jazzy sound.

I would do a light blue in the neck and middle, and a purple or blue in the bridge. I didn't like the burgundy very much.

The set you mentioned is fine except for the blue in the middle. You don't want your hottest pickup in the middle. If you're going to get those pickups I'd put the purple in the middle and the blue in the bridge.

agree. i have a blue in the bridge of my main strat and unless you mainly play the middle position i don't think it would be a wise way to go. you may also want to consider silvers as they do a nice clean sound and have just a little more umph than the golds.
