I don't remember the specific order of pedals, but here's a more or less accurate history:

Cheap no-name acoustic
Gibson-Baldwin Les Paul (it's pretty shitty lol)
Line 6 Spider III 75 (also quite bad)
Some DoD distortion pedal
Dunlop Crybaby
NYC Big Muff
Ovation Celebrity Acoustic
Fender Champ 600
Boss GE-7
Fender MIM Tele (later routed out and added a third pup)
MXR Dynacomp
EXH Holy Stain
MXR Carbon Copy
Ebow
Jet City JCA20H
Fender Super 60
Fulltone Ultimate Octave
Ibanez AFS75t
EHX Small Stone
Fender Hot Rod Deluxe
Ibanez AS73
Fulltone Fulldrive Mosfet 2
Ovation Preacher

Probably forgot a couple things but that's more or less it.

I see so many people getting numerous crappy/mediocre guitars and amps before stepping up to at least a mid-end instrument. I don't understand the logic behind it

Here's my approximate list:

Yamaha Pacifica 112J YNS

Roland Microcube

Some random Boss/Digitech pedals I won't bother listing.

Ibanez RG2570EX VSL

Bjärton B-50 classical

Peavey XXX Super EFX

Ibanez SRX595 bass

Ashdown Perfect 10 bass amp

Ibanez UV777bk

Schecter C-1

Carvin DC747

Faith Eclipse Saturn acoustic

Ibanez RG1570BK

Ibanez FR1620BK

Ibanez SR1006EFM bass

Axe Fx Standard

ESP LTD EC-1000

Ibanez RGA121

1989 defretted US Std Jazz Bass

Ibanez FR1620RDO

Ibanez FR1620BK (yes, that's 3 total)

Ibanez RG1527

Mayones Setius Pro 6

Axe Fx II (SOON!)

Axes on GAS-list: A high end PRS and a high end Parker

Schecter c1 elite (still got)
Schecter pt blackjack (sold to my dad)
Squier 51 (sold)
ibanez rg570ex (gone, didnt sound as nice as my other ibbys)

Ibanez RG7621 (got)

Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster (got)
Squier MIJ 94 Stratocaster (got)

Hopefully didnt miss anything...
Not really in any order
I had a slew of crappy amps including a spider 2 212, behringer v-ampire... Then when i started gigging i could only afford valvestate and i ended up with 2 (i bought the first head cheap then the second 8100 came with a cab) ended up selling those... I had a 1960 cab though. Had a dsl100 for a while don't have that anymore neither do i have the 1960
Currently I have a peavey ultra plus with a engl vintage 30 loaded 2x12 and a jet city jca2112rc. I did have a ultra 2x12 when i wanted a new tube amp but upgraded to the quarter stack

Hopefully made you feel a little better tom I'm more clingy to things these days hence i have 10 guitars in total (including my accoustic and bass )

I don't understand the logic behind owning multiples of the same guitar. I guess the lesson is "different strokes for different brushes."

Multiple of the same, high quality guitar can be tuned differently, sport different pickups, be modded in different ways, have slightly different tone due to woods, have different looks and still be high quality. (EDIT: And have different specs for different years. FR1620's got a new neck in 2010)

Multiple shitty guitars can sound and feel like shit in many different ways.

Year: 1996

MIM Squire stratocaster - First guitar ever, was a bday present for my 10th bday
Fender Frontman 15W practice amp

Year: 1999

Inherited a Terada Acoustic from the 70's, its vintage but its crap!

Year: 2010

'76 Ebony Reissue Gibson Explorer
Fender Mustang III
Line 6 POD XT
Marshall Haze 15W head/cab
MXR Fullbore Metal
MXR Wylde OD
MXR '78 Custom Badass Distortion

Today:

Was supposed to get a American Fender Standard Stratocaster but the music store lied about there current promo, so I found out about 30mins ago that I wont be getting a new guitar.

That's the history of my gear, I didnt start purchasing real good gear until I had moved out of home, secured my job and all that jazz. I used what I could get by on until I could afford my own gear and have slowly been putting together a top quality rig since then. Would I try and do it differently? Probably not as I am happy with what I have and it will only keep growing. Already looking to purchase a drum kit and I dont even know how to drum!

That was fun! I think I remembered most everything. (Have already added a few since saying that) There's a video of me about 25 years ago playing a Gibson ES-335, but I honestly don't remember a thing about it. If I did own it, I stupidly got rid of it. This is over a 40 year span, so it's a bit hard to remember every single one.

I will try to come back and include amps. I should remember most of them. No way can I list all the effects I've owned over the years. I'd fill the internet.

just a reminder that some of us have been playing for a while and have been through a lot of gear. oh and no one asked you to point anything out and yet you felt the need to do so despite the fact it had nothing to do with the thread.

It would've been kickass if Excel was available back then so you'll have an ongoing tally.
