This is the UG Battlefield 3 Thread!

Battlefield has always been a game that requires coordination between squad members, and I've noticed on BF3 in particular there seems to be a lot of new players who treat it just like any other FPS. So to make the game a bit more enjoyable for everyone, I made this thread for all us UGer's to get together and work together (or fight against each other) as squads. Having a full squad with voice communication always makes Battlefield games ten times more fun, not to mention that you'll often do a whole lot better if you've got three other guys working with you.

If we could all just post in the thread with our Gamertags/PSN Name/whatever PC users do, we could set up a UG Platoon on Origin easily enough and be connected through the Battlelog feature. You guys would just need to sign up for an Origin account at this address, continue to http://battlelog.battlefield.com/, and join the Ultimate-Guitar Platoon of your choice. There is a separate platoon for each platform; one for PC, one for Xbox 360, and one for PS3. Simply click the "Apply to Join" button at the top right corner of the page. The links to these platoons are the URLs at the top of the member lists.

Format for submitting names:
UG name; GT/PSN/Origin [platform name]

This is the format that the member list will be in, save for the platform in [ ] obviously.

For this to truly work well on PC, you'll probably have to add your platoon members as friends on your respective networks, and adding Origin friends for Xbox and PS3 probably isn't a bad idea either.

At the very least, add your Platoon Commander on both Origin and XBL/PSN if applicable.

Platoon lists and other OP edits will be updated regularly. If you have posted your information and notice yourself still not on the list, simply send me a PM and I'll get right to it.

Note: I will not be updating PSN and PC Platoons in terms of moving members from the NA to Approved lists, unless you post in the thread saying you have been approved.

If anyone has any other suggestions, just reply to the thread and I'll see if it can be implemented.

Create an origin account and link to your PS3 account I guess. I'm not sure. I had the beta on PC and PS3 and it was already done for me somehow.

Whoever makes the PS3 and PC Platoons, link me to the platoon and I will make you head of the platoon. The Platoon Commander, if you will, where you are free to make changes to the platoon so long as you notify me somehow so I can edit them into the OP (if neccessary).
