I don't think we would listen to the Dead Kennedys if they're from back in the day. We mostly listen to Green Day, MxPx, Blink 182, Sum 41, and Rise Against, none of that old school shit.

Calling someone closed minded then taking the piss out of the bands they like is kind of hypocritcal. I like the old stuff and the new stuff, sure, Blink sing mostly about girls and not wanting to grow up, but the Sex Pistols, the most influential pnuk band from the England scene, where manipulated entirely by their manager, they were a money making scheme by Malcolm McLaren, and actually ended up doing exactly what they were fighting in the first place.

I'm a troll. Some of the punk bands I listen to are so underground your virgin ears wouldn't be able to handle them.

lot's of bands cover good songs, but it doesn't make the band good. (Sublime's cover of Hope, the awful covers on the soundtrack to Tony Hawk's Underground 2)

honestly, i never really even listened to early blink. my blinding hatred for tom delonge has, uh... blinded me...
