That's strange.

I used a strat for both recordings, and for the first clip, an ac-30 sim with some delay and verb. For the second clip I used the 59 plexi sim, with a dmm sim and some verb.

^Sound quality wasn't terrible. But talking for 9 minutes before actually playing is.

^ Right

The demo itself was bad. At the 2:00 mark I thought - 'Ok, he's going to start the demo now' and then at 3:00 the voice over chimes in starts saying 'Ok, start the friggin demo already' which is obviously the TS voice was just too much. After I skipped over the rest that didn't look like he was playing a guitar I finally found the part that has the pedal tones. The pedal should have been properly demo'ed.

Period.

I think the JCM fit the mix much better on the rhythms, but for the leads, they were both good. I can't help but think that the JCM's lead track is louder, though, either that or it has significantly more mids, cause something is making that track cut much better. Tone wise, the leads both sound great, though. The JCM is a bit stuffier and not as "open," a warmer tone, but I think it fits this style much better than the EVH did.

Matrix, I completely agree, Its the mids on the JCM that makes the leads cut a bit more... The EVH rhythm has a nice modern tone...both are cool. I might use both and a/b them for lead and rhythm, but I need roadies first hahahh.. THanks

Demo of a crunch tone through a Celestion Creamback speaker.

I used the Suckerpunch15 mkII head. It is double tracked, as I wanted to combine 2 mic positions to get a better representation of the room sound. Left-ish track is edge mic'd, right-ish track is slightly off center, slightly off axis. Both recorded with an SM57, no post EQ (raw tracks). They are not hard panned, so both channels will have a mix of both mic positions.

13 minute Bugera Trirec demo made by Ola Englund.
Professionally recorded and stuf.

A lot of people have been talking about the Trirec mostly because it is pretty obviously a Mesa Boogie Rectifier copy and that the release of the amp has been postponed for like a year and a half.
Here is a demo made by a fellow swede of mine:

It didn`t sound too bad according to me. If I had the money, I`d get one.
What is your opinion on this?
The mod Roc8995 told me that I could post it here.

Quite a lot of twang in a weird way, or maybe it's these new monitors... Nice cleans.

Yea, it kinda lacked some punch even thou he is in drop A and stuff.
It isn`t as punchy as a Recto usually is.

I think it sounds pretty good. Too bad Bugera's reputation with me was tarnished so long ago or I would give them more credit. I might actually give one of these a go if my local shop gets them in, but I won't bend over backwards.

It might be a copy of a Boogie, but you would be surprised what difference high quality components that Boogie uses vs. crap that Bugera uses can make in the sound.
