I like SP and Jonsi. Shall give it a whirl. Also, you've probs heard about the SP reissues, Andy. You thinking about getting any of them?

You should update the mix schedule, Andy!
This looks good, man. I have a feeling I'm going to really like this one. I'll be listening to this after I'm done listening to PF's Animals. Also, you wouldn't know hipster cred if it hit in the face. ![]() |

Sigur Ros
![]() Not a fan of Washington. At all. Dr Dog I liked, and the BRMC song was pretty good too. I didn't like the alt version of Blue Skies, though the original doesn't really do much for me either. Jonsi were interesting, may have to check them out.

Well i got both for about $28 each they came with a live dvd from that era, bonus disc of bsides, outtakes demos etc and a remaster version of the orginal album and a booklet with track by track commentary by Billy and some extra artwork and stuff in a fancy box. ![]() They're both worth it but if you prefer SD then get that. The live concert that comes with it is pretty good. Quote:
Shhh don't let the other hipsters know or i won't be able to listen to Bon Iver ever again ![]()

Yeah, i know what's included in it. Wanted to know if the demos/B-Sides are worth it.
I probably will. I really want them both on vinyl too. So bloody expensive. ![]()

I thought the Broni song was crap, but I enjoyed the rest. Eternal Life is one of my favourite songs and Sonic Youth brings back memories.
The Dr Dog song was a fun one and the BRMC and Sigur Ros ones were great! |

Good stuff today. Can't go too far wrong with Pumpkins and Sonic Youth.

I listen to Jonsi and Sigur Ros semi-religiously. I haven't given the rest a proper listen. I will listen soon and report back.
Edit: Also, Frank, seeing how badpun did it, I might actually use 8tracks next time. Last edited by slipknot5678 : 12-18-2011 at 04:37 PM. |

Just so you know Dan, Jonsi is one guy, and he's the singer/guitarist from Sigur Ros. ![]() That being said, first three songs were okay, but nothing spectacular. Dr.Dog was surprisingly fun. Broni wasn't that bad, but it's hard to take him/them seriously with that name. Of course, I love Jonsi and Sigur Ros. I haven't gotten to Washington yet. The rest I'm indifferent to. |

Geez, Dan. You'd think you'd recognise the singer. You should check out the rest of the album though. There are some beautiful atmospheric build ups that are just as good as Sigur Rós's epic stuff.
