Whenever I hear someone say that they play exclusively a single genre, I always assume that they're just a terrible guitarist.

I kinda fixed up the sides yesterday. Fortunately, the design was changed to be more "forgiving" but look even cooler. (you guys have to wait a hella-long time to see it though!)

Do you think the poplar will be heavy enough to stop the neck from diving? I don't mean to pick fault but firebirds are notorious for it.

A nice thick strap will be enough, hopefully. Plus my tuners won't be the ridiculously heavy banjo-styled ones like on real Firebirds.

YOU SUCK!

But that's a pretty cool guitar you're making there. I hope to start making one pretty soon, but I've got EMGs going in.

A quick question about pine, if you don't mind: Roughly what size are the pieces you used? Pine is pretty much the cheapest wood I can get, and I'm pretty interested in using it for a guitar. Also, does anyone know if it's viable as a neck wood?

I like it when builders do something a bit unusual.

I used a single plank, total I used about 25x17x1.5, two of those clamped together. I don't think pine would be a good neck wood, but DTN thinks it is. Jillard and a few other respected builders disagree with him though.

I wanted an old-timey guitar. Old Teles were made of pine, and Firebirds are F*CKING AWESOME!!!

I don't trust robots. I'm so untrustful of technology, that I am in fact Amish.

(plus robot tuners are just awful)

This isn't a Firebird X. Just an old fashioned Reverse Firebird. All effects will be on the pedalboard.

I don't think price would have much to do with it, robot tuners are just awful. If all guitars end up with them, musicians who play guitar are ****ed.

You are a genius. Firebird X's are terrible. Yours however, looks like it will turn out grate. Normal firebirds are grate.
