I know it's probably true, but I struggle to fathom how the number could be so high

One set of each tyre, per car, per weekend would be 7.6k tyres for the season, so it's pretty easy to see how that number adds up really.

Kinda surprised it's not higher to be honest.

23,500 tyres / 4 = 5,875 tyre sets

5,875 tyre sets / 20 races = 293.75 tyre sets per race weekend

293.75 tyre sets per race weekend / 24 cars = 12.24 tyre sets per race weekend per car

Given that over an entire race weekend, a car will get 6 prime, 5 option, 3 inter and 3 wet sets, the numbers do make sense given some races they won't touch wets (e.g. Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Austin), others they will combine their use and explains the decimal places.

Williams give their drivers the blind-date treatment with an awkward Q&A session.

Autosport have dropped their free article limit from 50 per month to 30 per month. FFFFFFFFFF, jerks.

Bottas : What is your biggest fear?
Maldonado : I have no fear.

5 extra bad ass points

I actually quite enjoyed that. Pastor needs to be careful, he could be come a cool guy.

hey guys, didn't you think it was weird how nobody outside of espnf1 reported those supposedly massive aero changes being scrapped in 2014

well

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/20640255

that's why.

fuck your espn shit (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻)

also, 30 views on autosport? :/

Just played some F1 2012...analysing my driving and seeing how I can improve.

I suck at high-speed corners, I brake way too much and lose a lot of speed. I'm very good at low speed corners though, I got the late braking, apex, and slight throttle pretty down. Mybest circuits are probably Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Korea, Hockenheim (probably spelled that wrong), India, Monza, and Singapore. My worst circuits are probably Australia (for some reason), Spa (even if I love it), and like, Suzuka.

Will need to improve my high-speed cornering. My biggest strengths are probably overtaking and avoiding crashes on T1 on multiplayer. Actually, avoiding crashes on T1 in multiplayer practically guarantees you a podium.

Biggest thing for me in that was the progression of paddle shift.

They sounded so much better as a manual

Same, I loved that sound; it was so violent yet awesome. Personally I'd rather they were back, I'd rather see the cars go faster than slower. One step closer to pod racing

I half hope we go to Österreichring A1 Ring Red Bull Ring. Just to watch Alonso dick Vettel. You know how desperate Vettel would be to do a grand slam at red bull ring in a red bull.

If you can get away with it lift off the throttle through the high-speed corners instead of braking and to give yourself the best chance of making the corner make sure you use as much of the track as possible starting wide then clipping the apex.

Lemme guess sector three at Australia and Spa and sector one at Suzuka?

No matter how many times I drive Suzuka, I still manage to mess up the esses.
