Why does everyone hate the Avt's?

mojachiee Registered User Join Date: Nov 2011	Why does everyone hate the Avt's? I want to know why so many people hate the Avt/valvestate series, i own a avt50 valvestate 2000 amp and i would like your thoughts on the matter. Last edited by mojachiee : 01-25-2012 at 06:40 AM.

I think the thing is that they're overpriced and aren't as good as the advertisers will have you believe as opposed to them actually being bad.

The older ones where awesome for the price. The new ones are way overpriced for what you get considering you could get a pretty nice tube amp for what they are charging.

I was impressed with how they repsond to Overdrive pedals. Their matching cabs/speakers suck though. For me, that is the reason why they aren't as could as they could be. They aren't bad amps, they just aren't as good as other Marshalls.

If Marshall went back to using the Park brand for these lower range amps (and changed the prices accordingly), people would hate on them a lot less.

predz91 Registered User Join Date: Jan 2012	I love my AVT-20, its just a practice amp. Since it has a tube in it I think it makes it way better than any regular solid state practice amp.

I don't remember the model numbers, but I remember being impressed with the older ones back when they first came out.
