Battlestar Galactica
So last night I finished the final few episodes of Battlestar Galactica.
God. Damn. That is probably the best all-around TV series I have ever watched. Hats off to the writers. The characters they created were so wonderful in their complexity. They felt like real people, and not just predictable cardboard cutouts. I often found myself at odds with characters I really loved, and vise-versa I found myself siding with characters I despised. The stories were wonderful, the visuals were flawless, and the cast gave a superb performance throughout the series. It was finely crafted start to finish, as well. I find myself quite literally depressed now that the story is complete and there are no more episodes to watch. If you haven't seen this show and you like sci-fi (hell, even if you don't like sci-fi) you should definitely check it out. If you HAVE seen the show, I want to know who you are. So say we all. A damn good show. I sort of lost interest in the last season due to the prominence of the spiritual stuff going on. Not that it wasn't brilliantly written, or went over the top, but the final four, creator, Zion-type stuff didn't grab me as much as watching the crew struggle with mutiny. Also

One of my favourite TV shows ever. the whole Starbuck thing at the end totally messed with my head also, Tyrol was my favourite, it bummed me out big time when he turned out to be a cylon

A few weeks ago I rewatched it for like the gazillionth time. Definitely one of my all-time favorite series.

Never seen it, but I've been looking for a new show to start watching and this appears to be on Netflix. Looks like I'll give the pilot a go tonight and see how it is.

I obsessively watched the entire series a couple of semesters ago. I loved the version of All Along the Watchtower they had in the Season 3 finale.
Link I thought the show overall was very good, although then ending was a bit of a disappointment.

The last 3-4 episodes almost killed this show. It really deserved like 10 more episodes to explain all the shit that needed to be explained. Also, that whole Starbuck resolution thing ****ing failed.

The action footage on this show is so poorly done and primitive cgi circa 2000 that I couldn't get past the first couple episodes
