Nice. Mellowhead is a good plugin, and im surprised it doesnt get more recognition. Maybe cos its not free, but for what it is capable of, 50 bucks is nothing.

It's easily the cheapest Sim on that list, apart from maybe Amplitube if you're picky with your amp purchases. Honestly with some decent IR's behind it it sounds alright.

Alright, now that this is stickied, how many threads are we gonna see on "Hey, how do I play an amp on my computer?"
Can I be a mod just to lock all of them?

What about the LePou LeXtac? I've been using it with Amplitube's Tiny Terror sim.

I've never really used it. I tend to stick with the LE456 and the LeCto. Is it any good?

Yeah the LeXtac is good for cleans and low gain. I haven't used it in a while but I use to use it a ton.

I've been using it a lot lately. Mostly in any of the punk type stuff I do, but I've been using it and doing another tone with the Orange Tiny Terror amp sim and like the results. Mainly I was looking something other than the 5150/Mesa sim that everyone is making and using.

What kind of amp/impulse/pedal chain would be good to get a shoegaze kind of tone, things like Slowdive and Bullet for My Valentine.
I usually use Lepou amps (pretty much all of them) and several fuzz vst but I'm having a hard time getting that kind of tone.

Bullet for my Valentine aren't a shoegaze band...
But in general try and find what the bands you want to emulate use, and see what sims are available that get you close to that equipment. I'd assume with Shoegaze you'd want fuzz, echo, delay, that kinda thing.

I'd like to know too. There are a lot of free hi-gain amp sims out there but I noticed a severe lack of clean ones.

A lot of people make free Hi Gain amps, there is a lower demand for clean ones. They DO exist, but I've just never used them so can't really comment on them. But I think LeXTAC (http://lepouplugins.blogspot.co.uk/2010/02/lextac.html) is quite popular around here for cleaner stuff.
