Question Idea behind Ukulele chords?

For a lot of songs every chord submission shows up twice, as normal chords and as uke-chords, but with the same content.

Now I understand that they shouldn't really differ. An Em is a Em, no matter the instrument. But in this case the uke-players could just as well read the normal chords.
Unless we are expecting some kind of adaptation to the instrument, why are even uke chords submissions possible?

Granted, there are a few uke-chords that have chord legends with the right amount of strings and that add value, but it seems that some people mostly resubmit existing chords to farm points.

It's all about the hover over.

When viewing a guitar chord tab, hover over the chord name & you get shown the chord shape for guitar.
When viewing a uke chord tab, hover over the chord name & you get shown the chord shape for uke.

As for the duplication...yes and no. Yes, they are all duplicated. No, for the most part contributors don't get credit for the copied version as all chord tabs were automatically recreated by UG when the uke thing started.

It wouldn't surprise me if there are people submitting the same thing twice under the two categories now though.

If it's all about the mouse over chord hints I would say that a function similar to transpose would cover it better. (Select in a drop-down that you want the chord diagrams for guitar/ukulele/banjo/baryton guitar...)

But I guess noones deleting hudreds or thousands of uke-chords (some of which are justified).

Thanks for the answer!
