Absolutely gorgeous man, you should be proud. The carving looks amazing, how does it sound?

The neck pickup is great, quite clean, bright and with good note definition. Pretty much what you would expect from a low output, vintage voiced single coil and definitely well worth the 18 I paid for it.

When setting up the guitar I had to raise the bridge quite high to get a reasonable action (I made the neck angle very slightly too large). As a result, even when fully raised the bridge pickup doesn't come as close to the strings as I want it to. So at some point I'm going to build a taller mount for it. I can't really give a proper verdict on its tone until then.

You don't actually really have to get a higher mount. instead, you could cut the springs shorter. I have done it a few times with no problems at all.
