Certainly an eclectic mix here. The first two songs didn't do much for me, and the Serj song seemed to try way too hard to be "epic" (lets throw some strings on there). Helios and MGMT were good, and the Blink 182 didn't suck as much as I thought it would. Bansheebeat was good, but those drums did get a bit tiresome after a while.
Paco Peña was by far the stand out. He is too good. Also, change my playlists names back to what they were before you damn dirty

I don't know why I still haven't bothered with Sigur Ros yet. They
 I mostly liked this, except for Serj Tankian and that Paco Pena guy. Nice and varied mix, the Grimes track was very pleasant, as well the Helios and bansheebeat tracks.  I'll say it here because you didn't include the upcoming schedule: Dan, you're next. |

I'm sorry if I'm ignorant on this, but how are those first bands in the first link anything rock? They all seem more classical bassed and such... untill it gets to blink 182.. I mean crystal instrumentals? Sorry that's not rock. (or whatever that was, nor was that grimes piece.)

LOL, the whole point of coming to this mix-tape was to find more modern rock to listen to lol... guess that was a wrong assumption... I mean you did call it a "modern rock mix tap" after all heh.
But I would lol, had I more than the standards... nirvana, jane's addiction, RHCP, etc. LOL.. |

Ahh, another reason to stop by the sign-up thread.
It has an overview of all the mixes with a short description of the mixes' character for most of them. Biggest reason to do these mixes was to keep the forum alive, sorry for the confusion. |
