Have any pitmonkeys been affected by suicide? I'm wondering because I'm doing a research paper for school about it and would like to know methods, why people would kill themselves, what happens to the people around them, and other stuff related to it

Nope, don't know anyone who has killed themselves and if anyone i know seriously attempted to, i'm not aware.

I can tell you that the people around them will wonder for the rest of their lives why the **** they didn't see it coming and was there something they could have done to prevent it had they known.

Well I was in middle school when being emo was cool, so I know tons of people that claimed they were going to commit suicide whenever something happened to them.
But I don`t know anybody that has, but one thats tryed twice.

It`s sad but we weren`t that close so I could`t tell you how it affected the people around them.

I'm in that position now and I tried to yesterday. I have a paper due on Monday, so I figured it'd be a fairly easy topic to do in a couple days

My dad faked a suicide. But he's an abusive drug addict rapist so you know... didn't really care. I haven't even seen/spoken to him since like 2003.

Earlier this year, two of my sister's friends killed themselves (one was accidental. Reckless driving) within seven days of each other. Two of my other sisters are depressed and suicidal but they have been getting help to work through what ever problems they are having. I had to stop my youngest sister from doing it twice.

When I was younger I went through a kind of suicidal phase of some sort, it was related to bullying so it kinda sucked, glad those days are gone. My parents started noticing my behaviour was different and i started skipping classes/not giving a **** about anything so they made me see a doctor and i'm all fixed up now. Kinda.

People are very ignorant about suicide and depression, alot of people even think you can just "stop" being suicidal or depressed if you want to....



And besides, i'm not going to start sharing my most painful memories to help someone with a research.

Eh, I'm fine. I'm not gonna waste time and energy getting mad about what happened in the past, and I do what I have to do to make my family not do anything extreme. I'm pretty happy with my life at the moment, and have been for a long time now.

Which is why people need to understand, it isn`t something you can just turn off.

And I didn`t say that, if your not comfortable about doing it than you shouldn`t.

I had a family friend who suffered from PTSD after serving in afganistan. When his marriage ended he shot himself. It was very sad. He was too young.
