Hello Pitters. Welcome to the official chat thread for The Pit!

The moderating staff of The Pit is excited to test out a new idea; to have a thread specifically dedicated to off-topic chatting. We're attempting to shake this place up by attracting more users to post around The Pit, as well as bring those of us who already inhabit it closer together. So here it is, thanks to popular demand, a chat thread.


Before we get this started, let’s lay out a few of the guidelines to make this run smoothly. As always, all of The Pit rules still apply within this thread. I’ll highlight some of the bigger issue one’s for you:

- NO SPAMMING. If you make a post in this thread, try to make it have a purpose or be in response to someone else’s post. Avoid spewing nonsense or just putting “DICKSDICKSDICKS” a bunch of times. That’s what we’re trying to avoid here.

- NO FLAMING. There’s nothing wrong with debating/arguing with someone, as long as it doesn’t become a personal attack. E.g. “Shut the **** up you cockjuggling thundercunt. You’re a ****ing idiot.” Be respectful of others when dealing with conflicting opinions.

- NO PORNOGRAPHY OR GORE. Obviously you’re not supposed to post these things. Quoting inappropriate pictures that others have posted is also bad, so don’t do that either.

- NO QUOTING ADBOTS. If an adbot makes a post, don’t quote any of the links. Report it and move on. Maybe make a post indicating that you’ve reported it so that others won’t have to.

- Please don’t use this thread as a substitute for an “ONLY” thread. If you have something to discuss that is better served within one of the topic-dedicated threads, it’s best to go to that thread directly (a comprehensive list of ‘’ONLY’’ threads can be found here or via the searchbar). That’s not to say that any discussion relating to these topics are prohibited from this thread, but try and keep it to a minimum. Thank you.

Well, to chat, quite simply. This is sort of a way to filter out the off-topic chat within the "ONLY" threads, the hugging thread, etc. If you wanted to post about a personal matter of marginal importance, you can post in here and discuss it rather than making a new thread about it. If you wanted to inform people that the chances of you dying on the way to get your lottery tickets is greater than your chances of winning, then go right ahead. You found $20 on the street? Awesome dude! That kicks ass! What'd you spend it on? Oh, I bought some recording software with it, check out this song I just wrote: *link*


Now that all of that silly regulation stuff is out of the way, let’s get this started!

To kick this off...

I paid $20 for a Dell Inspiron laptop that was loaded with viruses two days ago. The guy that sold it was awful with computers, so I made him an offer. It's now up and running perfectly with Windows 7 Ultimate and is what I'm currently posting from. Feels good man.

Yeah, same here too. I love rain. There's something about getting rained on that feels so liberating.


We used to have four Pizza Hut's in this town. Now it's down to one. All went out of business.

I prefer Domino's or Papa John's most of the time. Pizza Hut stuffed crust is pretty fire, though. I could eat that all day.

Yeah, same. Or Pizza Nova (which may be a Canadian thing, I am not sure). It was in the area though and I decided why not. Pretty good investment. I usually go with other companies than Pizza Hut though.
