yeah. granted that's a hell of a lot easier to do in areas where housing is at least reasonably priced (like here in NI when we bought ours), but still.

the other thing is, people borrowing more and more money that they can barely afford to pay back just pushes the prices higher and higher. Granted, there's little to nothing the individual can do to rectify that, other than do without (and get left further behind on the housing ladder), so it's not fair to blame people too much. I still put most of the blame on the banks.



yeah that's what i figured. Just so it's clear that I'm not slagging off east tennessee, northern ireland is hardly manhattan either (even if we did have the fastest-rising property prices in europe there for a while... swiftly followed by one of the fastest-falling property prices once the recession hit ).

Was yours MIJ? Apparently a few are, and I'm looking for one of those. My MIJ GE-7 was a lot quieter than my MIT GE-7. And in any case, I'm running a noise gate at the end of my chain into my amp, so hopefully it won't be a huge issue.

Will do a Brigand clip once the speakers are broken in. Crazy how good it sounds with them too. Best speaker I've found with that amp so far. Only thing I liked better with the V30s/K-100s is that the cleans were a bit brighter/spankier. Less percussive with the Creambacks and a bit darker.

I dug the Brigand cleans a lot with the Creambacks. I wasn't totally in love with high gain tones through them, but admittedly I do prefer a more modern tonality to high gain stuff. Thought they were great for vintage high gain tones though.

here are my pics from a few days ago. I spontaneously took a few days off work to take advantage of the weather. Sent an email to my boss saying

luckily - I still have 4 days of vaca I still need to 'burn' this year.

















a few more and then I'm done. basically I have to show you my potato pleasure dish

i took some leftover breakfast sausage from that morning and mixed it with an onion I sauteed.
Then I cooked up some instant mashed potatoes and mixed that in with some fresh bacon bits I got at the store.
Then I added the baked potatoes I cooked up an hour before hand and added that with some shredded cheddar cheese.
I baked that whole thing together for an hour or so and ate it with my pork chop.
