I just tuned my Tele down to D standard and shat my pants. Like what's the point in playing in E standard? Every tuning lower than it sounds better, and ever position above it with a capo sounds better.

My Ibby is in D standard with 11's and it feels so good to play. Standard is sucky.

all the music i listen to is in either e standard or drop d. just makes it easier jamming with songs.

You can still jam along, just move all the chords up a whole step and play that. I just jammed along with a few our originals in D standard. Fills stuff out a lot more.

I hardly ever learn or jam to songs these days. I just noodle and **** around with my own riffs now. I just have no interest in learning songs anymore.

I've been the same way for a while. I just learned a couple new songs the other day, but before that hadn't learned anything new in a couple months. Trying to write original stuff for the band instead.

So play in Drop C, and you can play the open notes fretted instead.
