RPG Soundtrack Collaboration Thread (Let's Make an RPG Soundtrack v3)

Welcome to the third UG RPG Soundtrack collaboration! By the end of this, we'll have created an entire RPG soundtrack, a template of which is below. The very first thread was pretty successful, but it wasn't finished. The second thread was also never finished. This time, I PROMISE YOU THAT WE, WILL, FINISH IT.

You'll all be selecting which songs you want to write from the list below. For now, you can't call more than two songs at once. If more than one person calls a song, they can agree to write it together. Collabception?

Make the song repeat at least once, and then fade out using the mix table.

I'll propose that tuxguitar is off limits, I don't want my drum tracks turning into pianotracks.

Also, I call Opening FMV. I've always had a thing for the Opening FMV from FF8, I'd love to create something like that.

christopher. i dont see it being a big deal if we all make a song each. also i didnt use drums in that piece apart from a timpani so i dont think its a problem. its only if 2 people work on the same song

Well, the soundtrack is going to be a folder of MIDIs. That's why I bolded the fact that you should post the MIDI of the final version as well. Thus, in the end, it doesn't really matter what program you use (unless you're in a collab with another user).

amonamarthmetal, your song is actually quite good! Fits well. I like the yearning/longing feel that the music box gives it. You might wanna rename the file to "Oppression" though

Also, everyone make sure that you name your file exactly the same as the theme that you're doing.

EDIT: I was going to wait until everyone had seen this thread to call anything (since I have an unfair advantage in knowing that this thread even exists), but I've already got a town theme going that I'd like to use for this. If all of the town themes end up becoming taken, I'd be up for a collab on it. This is what I have so far, nothing much:

Do you mean get rid of the midi part of the title? also, you should check things off as we post our songs up so some1 doesn't also do a song after its completed.

Edit- nevermind

I've written your names by the theme to let people know it's taken. You don't have to get rid of the midi part, but spell oppression with two p's

I'll give town 2 a shot.

We could offer the music to an indie developer

Dibs on Mysterious Dungeon 1 and Boss Battle 1

EDIT: Here's a my take on Mysterious Dungeon 1. A little bit rough around the edges, I might make a few changes/additions unless someone else wants to do them for me (me being lazy).
