Where do I even start?
I don't know if there's a thread for this or not. But even if there is, I'm above the rules and I'll do what I fucking want. You dumb fucking shitheads got that?

Jeez, let's start this again.

You know how there's bands that everybody knows and you want to check out, but when you go to Wikipedia to see their discography it's 400 albums long? Well, this is a thread where you ask your fellow Pitters where to start.

For example,

Kid A: I want to check out the Cure. Where do I start?
Kid B: If you want the more radio, pop rocky Cure the best place is Disintegration. But if you want post punk the Cure, go with Seventeen Seconds or Pornography.

Get it?

Let's get this going!

Also, remember that providing links to copyrighted material is against the rules. Anybody doing so will be banned without a warning.

For anyone looking to get into the Drive By Truckers, start with the Dirty South. Anyone looking to get into The Avett Brothers, start with Mignonette or Emotionalism.


Also, I love Beyond from Dinosaur Jr. Which album should I get into to get a feel for their early stuff?

Never Mind the Bullocks is both their best album and their worst. It's the only one with Sid in it though. Or the rest of the band, for that matter.
