The FA's disciplinary procedures may be fine for minor offences, such as criticising a referee, but they certainly aren't fit for much more serious offences like racism.

A balance of probabilities just isn't good enough when the offence is likely to ruin players reputations.

It could work obviously. Chelsea used to play with more width. I'm just saying when you have Mata and Hazard going through the middle, why buy someone who heads in goals. It does give you an opportunity however to play with upcoming backs. That would be a ****ing unstoppable attacking force, ****.

Luckily your defence is crap if you play like that.

It's true that in general we're quite narrow. But Torres seems to be better with his head atm.

Hey Neo, are you watching Ajax? We're doing pretty average. Sloppy passing and defending.

*sigh*

The Magistrates' Court is concerned with whether his behaviour is criminal or not. As such, they require a burden of proof that is 'beyond reasonable doubt'. The FA aren't bothered about whether something is criminal or not, they're only concerned with whether his actions break their rules. As they're not concerned about criminality, they can use the civil law burden of proof "on the balance of probabilities" which could (and did) reach a different conclusion to the Magistrates using the same evidence.

I'd rather United played an academy player than Carrick in defence today. Carrick and Ferdinand partnerships make me sad.

Even so I'd still start RVP, Rooney and Kagawa. Attack is the best form of defence after all >_>

Especially against what will probably be Perch, Williamson and Harper

Attack over defense applies to both teams today..

Are we playing Carrick at CB, or is that just a "if we do" post?

Rather see us play Wootton there.
