November Rain Solo cover [C4C]
Hey guys
I know the timing is a little of in a part. i guess theres too much delay and reverb I tried to synch in pro tools essential ,but i was unable to completely synch in pro tools essentials. http://snd.sc/LKh16j 2nd try with no reverb and less delayhttp://snd.sc/KXeDxJ 3rd try - Video Last edited by anonymusneo : 06-12-2012 at 12:27 AM. |

Good effort here, I think you're right in saying the delay and reverb are on the heavy side. It kind of flatlines your tone a bit so it doesn't sound gainy. Theres nothing wrong with that, I'm just making an observation for you. The timing issues were really minor and you stuck to the tempo and the feel of the solo pretty well.

I really liked it man, I agree with the abOve comment, the delay and reverb can be a bit heavy but personally I liked it, the playing was good too

Thanks for your comment on my cover and sorry for the late answer.
You did a good cover of the solo. I don't see what I could tell you to improve. Also, nice guitar, what Cort model is it ?

Pretty fine playing there man, I only saw the video and I was impressed. I little too much reverb but nothing some touch ups won't fix. Otherwise you did a pretty good job. Keep it up

Good playing man
Yep I agree that the tone is a bit heavy on the first attempt, but the YouTube one sounds great! Just be careful with your bends, it's great though!!Thanks for the kind words on my video!

You do realize that you've sent me two c4c's for this video and have used a combined three words while "critiquing" my videos.

both positives and negatives are supposed to be pointed out in a critique of someone else's work. There is supposed to be criticism, but not bashing, the point of it is to help another improve.
The point that I'm trying to make is because you've commented with one or two words on two videos of mine and asked for me to critique the same video back on both accounts, after I had already commented on it, leads me to believe that you don't actually watch the videos, you just go around saying "nice" or "good job" to other people's work without watching them in order to save time so you get feedback from them. I commented back with a two word reply earlier, because that's all I got. |

Then the best way is to just bullshit then, say "I liked the tone, you seemed on time, I liked it, I can't really find any negatives with this video, etc." All it takes is just pointing out obvious stuff or even stuff you don't care about. But if you do find something worth pointing out, point it out.
I don't mean to call you out or be an asshole or anything, it's actually in the bumping rules if you read it. But asking for me to critique the same video twice after giving me two very small replies, and after I commented back, doesn't look good. It was something I feel needed to be pointed out. |
