Cool wanting to buy a keyboard

So buying a keyboard. Looking for something with it's own sounds (not a midi keyboard)
The budget would be something around 500 bus plus minus 100$ I guess. Still might go up to 800 even I think.

so 500-800$
a keyboard that comes with it's own sounds
something versatile
minimum 61 keys
might be used to play some folk music

is gonna be used in a venue so I was thinking may be an arranger would be better? Can actually arranger keyboards be used as normal keyboards too without all the left-hand-arranging things?

I'm not professional in keyboard terms, I only play actual acoustic instruments or midi so this is kind of new to me so forgive me for any mistakes

V

PS. I didn't know where to put this so if it's in a wrong forum then I'm sorry. Kind mods please just move it to where it belongs to

Going by what you described, you'd most likely be satisfied with ibanez, but what you really need is a new... Wait, wat?

If you can find an older Korg Triton in your budget, grab it. They were basically the top of the line workstation for about 15-20 years. Used to cost $3000, now you can sometimes find them used for $400-900, depending which model, if it's been upgraded, etc.

Another older one that would be an awesome grab would be the Korg Trinity, which was a sort of scaled down version of the Triton. The Karma was also one of their nicer boards.

Roland made some pretty nice stuff back then too, but I'm not as familiar with their models. I always liked Korg for keyboards. They make some pretty good stuff.

EDIT: IIRC all of the models I mentioned have a sequencer, which means you can program arpeggios, or even whole backing tracks that will play while you focus on playing the other parts live.

You finally made it home, draped in the flag that you fell for.
And so it goes

alright I'll look em up, I forgot to mention I'd prefer new products not used. I'll be getting it from China but I myself am not gonna be there so it's a person who's getting it for me and bringing it back.
