Will This Interface Do What I Want?

Hey,

Basically I am getting a new amp soon, and I'm looking for something that will give me more flexibility and quality when recording via the line out on the amp. This is why I've been looking into getting a USB interface to run the amp into in order it make sound better. I have very little money (About £50) so that might be limiting me a little. This is what I have found that is meant to be pretty good:

So yeah, is this going to do what I want, or is there something better I can get?

That will not help. The line out from an amp is only decent quality at best to begin with. Running it into a cheap interface will not help, it might even make it worse depending on your computer. You're better off saving some money for a mic and a decent 1 or 2 channel interface or learning to use Amp sims if you want to keep the DI route.

Really? On the demos I've seen when people run the amp into an interface sound great. Also micing isn't really possible for me as I play with my amp plugged in at night.

A lot of that is marketing. They also use high quality interfaces and professional engineers. Those guys can make a marshall mini stack sound good. THAT interface is subpar. Like, the improvement you get (if it doesnt' make it worse) would be negligible.

We have a sticky for this kinda thing. I'd suggest using it.
