Best Rig You've Played..

Whats the best rig you've ever played - the lot.

Guitar + Amp + Pedals.

I havn't really explored too much, but for me probably a Fender John Mayer Signature Strat, straight into a Two Rock Custom Reverb V3 (big JM fan )

This was at one of my friend's house. It was absolutely amazing, I still love my VOX AC30's and US Strat and Teles, but that really was something else!

The best dirty sounding rig I've played though, was the same friends' Gibson Les Paul Slash Goldtop straight into a Dual Rectifier.. That was... fwoar!

If you have any video's or photo's to add that would be mad

I haven't played many rigs, so my own rig wins. An Ibanez S420 into a Peavey 6505+112 combo. That's all I need for now.

when Mitch Perry was in Talas (billy sheehans original band) he let me play his guitar through his rig. the guitar was a custom made one and he had a ton of rack fx (this was the 80s). he wanted to hear how it sounded in the back of the club they were playing. i also got to play billy's bass through his rig as well. don't remember the specifics of the set up but it was very impressive as i recall.

Mine. I love my setup. Of course, the main amp has changed several times, but I have consistently loved my tone every time. Right now it is the pedals in my sig through the chadwick with my strat with the tone zone plugged in. So heavy.

^ Bet you get some pretty great tones with that Tom. Probably leaps and bounds better than anything any of us have probably gotten. I mean, it is a Jazz Chorus and a white falcon. I'm the jellyz

Mine still brings the biggest smile to my face.

Tweaker 15 w/EL-34's
2x12 cab with eminence GB12's
Hardwire overdrive set as a clean boost, and reverb and sometimes delay, with a line 6 mm4 for occasional modulation stuff.

And my prs McCarty or charvel type superstrat I built.

That would have to be mine:
Fender Classic Player Jaguar HH into a Blackstar Ht-100 through a Marshall 1960a cabinet.

into Tuner--->Ibanez Turbo Tubescreamer--->Mi Audio Crunch Box--->Big Muff Pi--->Mi Audio Neo Fuzz--->Boss Phaser---> Boss DD6 Delay--->Marshall Reflector Reverb--->Line-6 Echo Park Delay

all into a 6-switch true bypass loop.

The only thing I've played that could match this is any guitar into an all-tube Fender.

im gonna go against the grain..
i got some sweet backstage passes last time five finger death punch rolled through (yeah yeah i know not everyones iconic band) but I cant lie we bullshited with the band for a while (cool ****in guys) and zoltan let me take a whirl on his gear. granted this was back for the way of the fist tour so its probably different now. but god it was an amazing sounding set up

Bathory signiture BC rich
pedals were simple:
antique ibanez 808
smart gate
his amp selector
and a 3 button box from his rack effects (digitech)

but what was amazing was his amp. and since i am absolutely sold on the diamond nitrox and its acomanpied cab. that thing is a gain god. and had seriously fenderish cleans.. think... 5150III but on roids with a soft side...

OT, I played my old coworker's Gibson LP Custom into a Marshall Super Lead, don't remember the exact model but it was from the late 60s, he told me a story once how the guitarist from Quiet Riot tried to trade for it and he shot him down

I'm very happy with my rig now though: Ibanez RG920/Fender Strat MIJ/ESP LTD into a JSX and a bunch of pedals
