So after a discussion about guitars and amps with a mate last night, i sat down and roughly worked out how much it would cost to buy my setup brand new out of a shop/online.

after 20 or so mins i came up with a rough figure of £7000. To me this doesn't seem like a lot for the average set up.

i have become increasingly curious as to how much other people have spent on their rigs. What better place to ask than here? right?

Rules:
All guitars, amps and effects etc. are to be priced at market value

All custom built equipment are the cost of parts if you built them yourself, or what you paid for it if someone else did it.

Only the current valves in your amps can be counted. not old/unused ones.

Everyone has spent most of the cost of their rig on picks and strings so dont include those.

If you can post a list or pics of your rig.

I'm surprised its that high to be honest. I'd like to sell all my pedals, because I don't use them anymore. If and when I do I'll have just about the best sounding $700 you can find.
