was thinking about psychobilly/punkabilly bands i used to listen to in high school a lot.

http://www.purevolume.com/theastoundingroygorbisons/ - i imagine they've long since broken up

http://www.purevolume.com/fourbarrelghost - more cowpunk than anything. but an awesome band. don't know if they still play either.

http://www.purevolume.com/emergingfromvandoors - this was another band i listened to in high school. they've been broken up a long time. "look, they're breakdance fighting" was the only emo-esque song i really liked at that point in my life.

What about Motel Aviv? They're known in Austin, but maybe not too many other places...

Yeah, pun intended, but only after the fact...

One of my favorite progressive rock/metal bands from Poland, I give you Votum.

"Falling Dream" first track off of Metafiction, their second album and a real gem if I say so myself.

One Ok Rock is a very energetic band from Japan. The lyrics are mainly Japanese, but they get some English or "Engrish" as some would call it.

And the singer's brother is just starting up too, they both have a very similar voice

The noisy ass punk band Pissed Jeans. They're brilliant. And Dekapitator. Thrash side-project from a couple of the dudes from Exhumed.

I was addicted to their album Mabool a couple of years ago;

Some bands I friggin' love but don't seem to be that famous:

Sylosis (one of my favorite bands at the moment. I've listened to their last album, Monolith, countless times and still haven't got tired of it.)

Ne Obliviscaris (musically, unreal)
