The 14th 15th and 16th frets look out, actually a lot of them kinda do. Could be the photo but I'd say they are off.

Yeah, the highest frets seem to be spaced wrong..

hmmmmmm you guys are right, a few are definitely off, I have been too trusting of my fret template I made awhile ago. oh well, ill fix it tomorrow, no worries. Thanks for pointing that out though!

Also the neck is not attached yet, I'm gonna add the color to the body then glue the neck in.

Didn't feel like tackling the fret slots just yet so instead I decided to add some color today!

used sanding sealer on the beveled edge to creat a natural maple faux binding.

dark blue under coat for the lows

then sanded back

then added the purple and blue dye

I turned the lights off and took a photo with the flash, this is closer to the actual color

sorry this is a little blurry

all dried up

and a nice clean edge.

I'm pretty happy with this considering it was my first stain/burst attempt.

Can't agree more!

Girly or not, it's a beautiful looking guitar. Keep up the good work!

I don't like Avenged Sevenfold anymore. I was 14 when I joined & the 6661 in the username seemed a great idea at the time. Sigh.

lovin the comments, lol you guys rule.

I need some help though. I had this same issue with the anchor guitar. I only have the ability to print my logo in black but I'm afraid it will be very hard to see on the dark violet headstock. I think if I could get it done in white it would look perfect but I cannot find anyone with the capability to print in white ink. Do any of you know a place I could send a file and have them print a decal or a transfer image thin enough to be under the clear coat? Any ideas at all would be greatly appreciated.
Here's a few pics from this morning:

Beveling the edges of the sound holes to make them stand out better

Also added the faux binding bevel to the headstock

I have decided to skip the pick guard because it would be a crime to cover up any part of this top wood. I also plan on recessing the control plate so it sits flush with the body.

awesome job beveling the sound holes. That looks incredible! What color are the sides and back going to be? or are they going to stay natural?

You could try vinyl decals, they can be done in almost any colour. Basically it's a sticker cut from vinyl and you can clearcoat over it. It does take more coats to get it perfectly flush but it's not too hard to do. I ordered mine from an ebay store of a signmaker.

[EDIT] awesome tele btw

Those sound holes look great.

For decals just look for places that do them for model trains or cars, they seem like the best places to go and often do white.

Looks great. I liked the pickguard design but you are right, the wood is too nice. If you play easy and don't strum hard the wood should be ok and not scratch. you could maybe try a clear pickguard if you tend to scratch. Also make sure the control plate is parallel to the bridge, looks a bit slanted

The bridge and the plate were just sitting on the guitar, they probably moved a bit out of place making it look weird. I will be putting this guitar in my local guitar shop for sale, I'm not worried about me scratching it up with my crappy playing lol.

Plate recess

Sanded back just a bit to reveal the lightest lights, hopefully this will add even more depth to the figure once cleared

My signiture Raven

Frets and line fret markers

and side markers
