The Flextone III was just an updated model with some tweeks to the models.

The Flextone III combos one is a 1x12 combo with an extension speaker out (so you can add a cab). Really under rated amps, and super versitile also.

The Flextone head you found, is it new? because that is a super high price tag.

Good shout for the Randall heads, specially Warhead, RG100ES and Century 200, beastly sounding machines.
I've got an RH150 G3 I'm getting rid of but you can afford something a lot better tbh.

i mean... i wouldn't be surprised if it sounds a lot better than a solid state amp head. But it's not (far as i'm aware, the 100 does have an extra preamp tube, i guess, but whether that's enough to make it all-tube, i dunno... the smaller ones have a LOT of SS stuff going on in them) all-tube, either.

Ever consider a Crate Powerblock? Even if you have to ship it 1/2 way around the world, they're so cheap to begin with and so small & light that it would be very affordable to do so. I can get a good sound out of mine when I'm playing quietly and, at 150 watts, it'll melt some faces if it has to. Google 'em a bit. They're great amps.

Note: I like a tube sound so I use a cheapie tube preamp in front of mine. However, they're pretty pedal friendly so you can adjust yours to taste.

For what it was, I really loved my Randall RH200... Even after getting my Mesa Dual Rec and Peavey Ultra Plus, I still kept it around for a while because it had a pretty distinct, extremely high-gain sound.
I think I bought mine used off of eBay for 220 bucks 5 years ago.

OMGOMGOMG you needs a Randall Warhead. Think early Decapitated. So epic!

Um... can't recommend the Peavey XXL. Their SS amps are just meh. Also, I wouldn't get the B-52 because it isn't necessarily as old-school. It's a new SS amp.

Who buys new SS amps?
