Sorry? Fail for me? Not sure who everyday is, but you were clearly confused between what a pedalboard and power supply is.

Mayslash: In an effort to stop the shitstorm that is likely unstoppable at this point I will make one serious post, then I will promptly return to laughing my ass off at your expense. Serious post to follow:
You are partially correct in saying that Boss pedals are often inferior to other things offered on the market, but to say that they always are to the point that they shouldn't exist on the market is ridiculous. Many pros use boss for two simple facts; first they are indestructible, and second they can be picked up at almost any music shop in the world. I doubt many pros are using them in studio recording, but for live use they are really ideal. You also seem to overlook the fact that some of the older Japanese models of Boss pedals are very sought after. Add to that the huge community of people modding Boss pedals into top quality pedals and they become even more viable. If you were here spouting this nonsense with a pedalboard full of boutique stuff we wouldn't laugh quite as hard... But you're talking a lot of trash about Boss and meanwhile you've got some pretty mediocre stuff on your board. Basically you're not entirely wrong, but you really show your ignorance by making such a blanket statement when you clearly don't have much experience with what you're speaking of. Cathbard is probably asleep so here you go: si tacuisses, philosophus mansisses.

Walk into any music shop in the world and pick up a pedal... What is it? Its a Boss. That in and of itself is a 'feature.'
Also, and correct me if I'm wrong here because I've never done research, but isn't the Boss switching system pretty unique? I wish all my pedals had their switch. Its much quieter and easier than a standard 3PDT. ![]()

This thread is better than most movies out recently, thanks guys, I'll go back to my hm2 ps3 dd20 vb2 ce2 df2 rv3 bf2 fz2 etc
Boss pedals have been great to me over the years, even with boutique pedals now there's always at least 3 or 4 on my board. |
