Bro, the best way to add personality to your playing, is to use modes, all the time!

Like, you start on one degree of a scale that isnt the root, and boom, modes!

It works every time. Couple modes with lots and lots of double stops, and you'll have so much feels!

This. There is no excuse not to use modes at every opportunity. If there's one thing I've learned from my threesomes with Elton John and Prince, it's that modes make music unique.
