Suit and Flip-Flops?
Hey, so I have a show tonight and I was wondering if I could pull a suit with flip-flops off?
I like interesting style. I will also have Hello Kitty sunglasses with me and I play in a folk rock band if that matters at all.

Personally, I find the whole "ironic for the sake of irony" to be just plain dumb. If you really want to stand out, be classy. Class is the way to go.

I ended up going with no suit jacket. Did wear a dress shirt, slacks, and glasses with flip flops though.

usually the ironic dressers are the bassists because nobody cares about us anyway and like us better when we wear intricate hats or go shoeless but really how are you gonna be a singer and try to be "interesting", the more gimmicks, the less confident you look about yourself, the more nervous you seem, the less the audience cares
