How do you put tom mics on? (digital refrence 4-pack)

I bought this digital reference drum pack a while ago and i want to use it now. My question is how do i clip these mics on the drum, they don't seem to want to go on.

It's pretty common sense, there's a clip with 3 different slots. Very rarely will you need either slot then the closest one. Just force them on the rim of the tom head, they shouldn't brake too easily.

I never like physically attaching microphones to toms - even if they're good dynamic mics which are designed to have low handling noise.

For live drums I'd say they're fine - but for studio recording it's just one more liability that could ruin a good a drum take or cause you headaches later on.

I'd honestly say you're better off using boom mic stands.
