JoonatanH96 - Devotion, C4C

My new song!
What do you think of it? just everything: mixing-wise, recording-wise, composition-wise and of course what I'd appreciate the most: how to improve it?

Thanks in advance! C4C!

-Jonathan

EDIT: crits into the video would be preferred, but if you don't have a youtube account or something, here is fine

Sounds very professional, is that an Axe FX I see? Great mix overall, really nice tone and great composition!

Thanks man! I sort of cringed at the first bit Something impossible for me to have is a 3rd person view, but it's just hard to think that something made by me sounds professional

Yes, it's an Axe FX Ultra

Thanks for the crit!

You've got a lot of great riffs in here, without a doubt, and the playing is pretty darn tight. The tone is incredible (of course, damn you and your Axe FX ) and the mix is great. The only issue I've got are some of the transitions into the clean sections, they seem a tad bit rushed/forced. To be honest though, those are the hardest things to write in this style of music and it doesn't detract from the music at all.

Overall I'm really quite impressed! With a few tweaks (like maaaybe a new clean tone for the part around 50 seconds in), this would be absolutely fantastic!

Hey! This was recorded well! It's a good composition for its genre. Enjoyed the softer section at 1:34. As far critiques I guess my only question is if you're planning on adding vocals to it. Other than that I was impressed by your guitar skills and tempo.

Great songwriting on Devotion. Tons of potential to become a virtuoso electric guitarist. You remind me of a very young Misha Mansoor from Periphery. Here's my thread http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/foru...d.php?t=1563834

fc,
Very good guitar playing, especially for your age! Pretty wild stuff! How to improve it? Anything to have catchier melodies wouldn't hurt, though everyone has different ideas what that might be. Drums sound quite good. Audio quality is good for a youtube video, though better audio quality would be even nicer. Please review my music at this link:

Your guitar playing is pretty impressive rhythm-wise as it needs to be with such a rhythmically complex tune. Lots of ideas in there for the time of the track. I can't really suggest improvements aside from developing the piece to include vocals.

I liked it so I gave you a thumb-up on YouTube.

Thanks for the crits (all of you)!

I don't usually reply in my own thread as it's sort of against the rules unless I have something proper to say, but I really wanted clarification to your comment whether you mixed up audio and video, as I (even though I say it myself) think the audio (sound) quality was just fine
