it depends. there are some electronic albums i have that aren't marketed at all and they're amongst my all-time favorites, and there are albums like formless by aghora that i used to be in love with, but most people would think it's just weird stuff. but typically an intelligent person, in this day and age, will get his stuff out there. the internet is the best marketing tool known to man, and if you put in even a little time and effort, you can use it to your advantage.
