Id say that's accurate. Forsberg and Crosby for me are pretty much in a dead heat in terms of overall best players ever. Forsberg the slightly crazier, more reckless one, Crosby the more calculated, chess-like precision one.

Anyone here love the fact most of the players are jumping ship? How are they gonna work on a CBA if they are in the KHL playing,Training,Traveling,ECT. Get ready to loose the entire NHL season. Thank god I have the Syracuse Crunch for my hockey fix.

yes, except crosby isnt 19 anymore. i used to hate on him hardcore for being such a giant pussy, and although he does embellish still (does he? he hasnt played recently enough to really say) he isnt the crybaby he once was. that title goes to tyler seguin

I think the owners should get more money. Habs, Leafs, Rangers earn more than the rest of the league combined. 18 teams is losing money. They have to stand for all the costs, the players just collect their dollars.

The players need to realize that 49-50% of a GROWING market is excellent.

I also think they should freeze the salary cap at its current level for a few seasons.

I think they'll get to 50/50 eventually, but there's no way the players should take a hit on their current contracts. If the owners didn't want to pay so much for players they shouldn't spend so much (Sather, Lamoriello, Fletcher).

Yeah that's the thing I don't understand though, are the NHL legally allowed to roll back salaries if the salary floor is adjusted down? I thought the contracts were guaranteed.
