@dave, def worse speakers than V30's out there. the cool part about V30's is when i get cabs with V30's in them i have no problem selling them off. guitarists gobble V30's up and pay pretty good cash for them, this allows me to get my own speakers without a huge investment.

thank you V30's!

i've been considering this greatly.

there is no reason for me to have 2 of them. they just aren't my thing.

i should keep one but 2? no.

that's a really good point

I know i used to hate that gear i liked wasn't better known. Now that I realise that it actually means i can get the stuff i like for cheap, and have no bother moving on the stuff i don't like, I'm much less worried about it

Let me know if you want to get rid of that PRS, I will more than likely make an offer.

Oh goody! You're back.

Nice guitar Greg. How's that neck joint? It looks awfully fat and uncomfortable.

HNGD!

I'm quite a fan of Yamaha SGs, at least since I know Phil X.

It doesn't matter, Dan. Look at what he actually said. It's a projection in terms of his dick and what he wants to do when he grows up. No scope in his world view for the concept of contentment, it's written in the language of a child. Like I'm going to be fazed by a child's tantrum?
I appreciate the backup but it's needed no more than a horse needs somebody to bat flies off its arse.

thanks! it's a very cool guitar and i've wanted this model in this finish since the 1980s. for me, it's kind of the holy grail of yamaha electric guitars.

not at all. it's a 60's profile (using gibson terms) neck so it's on the thinner side of how those run, and the joint is a lot less bulky than a typical les paul joint. they can do that because it is a neck through build and not a set glued neck. it tapers much further back than any set neck design. it's really comfortable honestly and lends a lot more upper register access.

He has a kind of "special" way when it comes to customizing guitars though.

Even my 500, which has a set neck, has a non-intrusive heel at the neck joint. Yammy SG's are extremely playable. I've been having a ball with it.

yeah i've never found the neck joints on the set neck models to be intrusive.

This is my current feeling as well. Think I might have to track down another Yammy. Such a glorious guitar that I got rid of far too soon.
