So, chat thread - what's new?

I got my '78 moped going recently. Here's a before picture:

And here's an after:

It was given to me for free. Although, I'm having a trouble getting it titled right now.

Not only does it not have NOS, Tuesday when I went to start it up - I forget to put oil in it.

So while it doesn't directly relate to guitar much, I've been a QFN soldering machine at work lately. I've designed 5 circuit boards in the past weeks that use a number of QFNs... and to prototype the boards we have to hand solder everything.

On another note, I have completely abandoned building a guitar for now... been so damn busy that I don't even want to sit down and hand saw all of the wood like I need to.

2 or maybe 3 I can't remember. Not from scratch though. I also built a couple of bass speaker cabs.

Here's my history...

Lots of modding, then the following new builds:
1. RR neck-through -> writen-off,
2. Green SS -> success, but not totally lacquered,
3. Random star -> halfway?
4. Flamed maple SS -> quarter?

I still suck pretty badly, but I'm so much better than when I started. That's what it's all about!

Is there any way to keep those spam-bots from coming back? Or are they posting from different IPs or something each time? There are at least 2 every day in what seems like every forum.

Jim, does this mean you'll be changing your sig soon?

I'll figure out a price once I have all the hardware ordered. These ones will be slightly different. They'll have a chocolate brown/teal blue colour combo, like you often get with living-room furniture

Three scratch builds now, and a bunch of parts that haven't been put together. There's a hell of a more on the way now though

So, it seems they may have found a solution to the spambot infection. There aren't external links allowed for new members (at least I hope it's just new members).
