Playing with pic sounds plastic

Hello!
I didn't know where to put this thread so I put it here. If it don't belong here can a moderator move it.

So, my problem is that then I play with a guitar pic it sounds plastic then i play.
I play on a electric guitar (epiphone les paul version 2).

Do any one know why?
Should I hold the pic more central?

I have no idea what you mean by "sounds plastic", is there any way you could be more specific?

On the other hand though... you can easily buy picks made of other materials, try one of those?

Are you attacking too hard or with tense strokes? Does the rest of your playing sound deliberate?

In what angle is your pick while you're picking? Is it parallell ( -- ) angled ( / ) or vertical ( I ) to the strings?

That makes a great difference in sound in my opinion, together with how sharp the tip of your pick is.

Do you mean the noise the pick makes against the strings...
That would be normal. The lighter the gauge the noisier the pick sounds.
That's why we use amps.

That's the only plastic noise I've ever heard.
